Where can I purchase a Magic Gift Card?
Magic Gift Cards can be purchased at the Customer Service Department of all Central and Robinson Department Store branches. For more information, please call 02-100-8777.
Can I purchase a Magic Gift Card online?
Currently, Magic Gift Cards are not available for purchase through online channels.
Is there any fee for purchasing a Magic Gift Card?
There is no fee for purchasing a Magic Gift Card.
Why is identification required every time a Magic Gift Card is purchased?
Magic Gift Cards are regulated by the Bank of Thailand and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO). Customers are therefore required to present a national identification card to verify their identity in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
Can a Magic Gift Card be purchased in the name of a company as a gift for clients?
Yes, this is possible. Please contact the Sales Department for further details at 02-100-8777.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes. Customers may make payment by cash, credit card, or debit card at the point of sale.
Does the card have an expiration date?
Yes. The card is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.
Can funds be added to the card?
No. The card cannot be reloaded, as it is a one-time prepaid card.
Can a Magic Gift Card be used for split payments?
Yes. A Magic Gift Card (plastic card) can be used for multiple transactions until the balance is fully used. However, Magic Gift Vouchers (paper vouchers) and Magic e-Vouchers (electronic vouchers) can be used only once and cannot be partially used or saved for later.
Can a Magic Gift Card be used for online purchases?
At present, the card cannot be used for online shopping.
Can the card be used outside Thailand?
No. The card is valid only within Thailand.
Can the balance on a Magic Gift Card be transferred to another card?
No. The balance from any type of Magic Gift Card cannot be transferred to another card.
Which Central Group stores accept the Magic Gift Card?
The card can be used at participating Central Group stores, including Central, Robinson, Tops, Tops Food Hall, Tops Fine Food, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Mister Donut, Auntie Anne’s, Cold Stone Creamery, Arigato, Ootoya, Pepper Lunch, Shabuton, Yoshinoya, Tenya, Katsuya, Ramen Kagetsu Arashi, Terrace The Bangkok, Salad Factory, and Somtam Nua.
Is card registration required before use?
No registration is required. The card can be used immediately.However, if you wish to register the card to verify ownership (e.g. in case the card is lost), please contact Customer Service at 02-100-8777.
What should I do if the purchase amount is less than the card value?
If the purchase amount is less than the card value:
- Magic Gift Card (plastic card): The remaining balance can be used multiple times until the card balance is fully used.
- Magic Gift Voucher and Magic e-Voucher: These can be used only once. Any remaining balance cannot be carried over or used later.
Can the card be used in conjunction with other promotions or discounts?
Yes. The Magic Gift Card can be used together with promotions and/or discounts at participating stores, subject to each store’s specific terms and conditions.
What should I do if the payment amount exceeds the card value?
If the payment amount exceeds the card value, the remaining balance can be paid using other payment methods, such as cash or a credit card.
Can Magic Gift Card, Magic Gift Voucher, and Magic e-Voucher be used together in a single receipt?
Yes. The Magic Gift Card, Magic Gift Voucher, and Magic e-Voucher can be used together in the same transaction, subject to the terms and conditions of participating stores.
Can Magic Gift Card be used to pay utility bills (such as water, electricity, or phone bills) or to purchase other gift cards?
No. The Magic Gift Card cannot be used to pay utility bills, credit card bills, mobile phone top-up services, or to purchase other gift cards. The card can be used only for the purchase of products and services at participating stores.
Can items purchased with this card be exchanged or returned?
Exchanges or returns are subject to the terms and policies of each participating store.
How can I check the card balance or expiry date?
You can check your card information through the following channels:

- Customer Service Departments at all Central and Robinson department stores
What should I do if the card is damaged or the magnetic stripe is not working?
Please contact the Customer Service Department for an assessment of the damage. A replacement card will be issued if it is verified that the damage was caused by a card defect and not by improper use.
If the card is lost after purchase, can a refund or replacement be requested?
We regret to inform you that Magic Gift Cards cannot be replaced or refunded in cases of loss or theft. Please keep your card in a safe place.
What is the account maintenance fee?
The account maintenance fee is a charge applied to older card versions that do not state “The card is valid for 5 years from the issue date” on the back of the card and have had no activity for more than 5 years from the initial activation date. This fee is intended to encourage card usage and support the efficient management of inactive card data within the system.
What are the criteria for charging the account maintenance fee?
Cards subject to the account maintenance fee must meet the following conditions:
- Older card versions that do not state “The card is valid for 5 years from the issue date” on the back of the card.
- The card has had no activity for a continuous period of more than 5 years from the date of first activation.
For such cards, the system will charge an account maintenance fee of 50 baht for the first time once inactivity exceeding 5 years is identified, and will continue to charge 50 baht per year if there is still no activity in subsequent years.
Once the card is used, the system will automatically extend its validity for an additional 5 years from the date of the most recent transaction.
